We helped establish Halcyon Publishing from its very first day of existence, providing a logo, outline brand and some initial business assets. We built their website which included an online shop through which to launch their first book, and helped them source designers, an artworker and a printer. We advised on the artwork and print output and the concept for front cover designs, as well as proofreading all the copy and setting up a calendar of actions to help them coordinate its release. We helped them with operational considerations too, setting up and linking Amazon and Royal Mail accounts, and introducing them to wholesalers, distributors and promoters.
Since the company's formal incorporation in 2021, we have continued to support all aspects of their business including the recording and production an award-nominated podcast and five further titles, on occasion artworking interiors ourselves. We also recently created their first launch video and have helped them secure multiple extracts and features in national newspapers including The Guardian and Independent, and interviews with their authors on radio including talkSPORT, BBC Radio 5 Live and the BBC World Service.
